River Li

The river Li, with its curiously formed volcanic rock landscape has been an inspiration to generations of Chinese artists. From Guilin a flotilla of shallow bottomed boats make their way down the river, stopping at some extraordinary caves, which would do justice to Walt Disney, and on every boat a kitchen at the stern providing wonderful food, overheard one passenger,'I am vegetarian but duck is my favourite'.
